Have you ever heard of Cycle & Soak?
Cycle & Soak is a watering method that could solve the problem of losing valuable water. Cycle & Soak is utilizing your timer to run through all the zones multiple times for shorter durations and then turn off the system. This allows multiple start times to run for only a few minutes for each zone. Turn the system off for an hour or so and then turn on for a few minutes per zone again. And REPEAT. This is cycling and soaking (cycling through the zones and soaking water into the soil). If you have city or county water you pay for EVERY GALLON of water. By using the Cycle and Soak watering routine you are saving money on your water bill because you are reducing your water time and allowing the water to soak in more efficiently. Always watch your lawn closely to ensure grass has enough water. Irrigation timers have an A, B, and C program if further modification is required.
Cycle & Soak is especially helpful…
…for lawns that have clay or mucky soil that does not drain well. After running water for a few minutes often you can see water rolling down the lawn or driveway.
WOW! That was a lot of good information…
… give us a call and we can give your irrigation system a check and even show you how to program your system to complete a cycle and soak watering routine.
